Why English Cream?

Let us show you what makes this breed different.

ENGLISH CREAM

English Cream vs American Goldens! Is there any real difference? Although both registered by the AKC as Golden Retrievers (and both the best breed of dog ever) there are a few differences that set them apart!

LIFESPAN

  • The lifespan of English Creams is an average of 10 to 13 years. Some studies have shown lower rates of cancer than American Goldens!

BUILD

  • The English Cream Retriever is wider, shorter, and has a blockier forehead than its American and Canadian relatives. It has shorter legs, a deeper chest, and a slightly shorter tail.

Color

  • Perhaps the feature that stands out the most between the two is the color of their coats. English Creams have a much lighter coat that range from light golden to Creamy white. American Goldens are typically a much darker golden to brown color.
